Your ballot

One person, one vote

Every vote on this site belongs to a real, unique, adult person. Before your first vote you photograph a government-issued ID and take a live selfie. You do it once; after that you simply vote.

What we check

  • A valid driver's license, state ID, or passport
  • That your live selfie matches the photo on it
  • That you are 18 or older and haven't already registered
  • Your state and ZIP, so results can be shown by constituency

What we keep

  • No name, ID number, photo, or document image
  • A one-way, keyed fingerprint that blocks duplicate sign-ups
  • Your state, ZIP, birth year, and document type
  • Your votes — never published individually
